About Pratyusha Banerjee
Pratyusha Banerjee, an Indian actress known for her role as Anandi in the serial Balika Vadhu, died on 1 April 2016 at age 24. She was found dead by hanging in her Mumbai apartment, and the postmortem report cited asphyxia as the cause of death. Her parents alleged she was murdered by her boyfriend, actor-producer Rahul Raj Singh, and pressed charges against him. In 2018, Singh filed an application to be discharged from the case, blaming her parents for taking heavy loans in her name, which he claimed led to her suicide.
