Nisha's entry into films came through her elder sister, actress Kajal Aggarwal. In late 2010, Kajal announced that Nisha would debut in Telugu films. Nisha had been accompanying her sister to shoots and caught the attention of a director who saw her stills in a magazine. Her first film was the romantic drama 'Yemaindi Ee Vela,' which was a box office success and earned critical praise for her performance. She followed with 'Solo' (2011), where she played a medical college student; a Rediff reviewer noted she 'proves her acting talents in the second half, especially the climax.'

Nisha made her Tamil debut with 'Ishtam' (2012), a remake of her first film, though it did not fare well at the box office. In 2013, she appeared as a 'chatpata village girl' in 'Sukumarudu' and later that year reunited with her 'Yemaindi Ee Vela' co-star Varun Sandesh in 'Saradaga Ammayitho.' Her Malayalam entry came in 2014 with 'Bhaiyya Bhaiyya,' where she played Angel, an educated and headstrong daughter of an ex-minister. She also appeared in another Malayalam film, 'Cousins.'
