Biography
About Thekla Kaischauri
At 5'1" and 115 pounds, Thekla Kaischauri has an athletic build that belies her formidable presence in the ring. Born in Vienna, Austria, on 30 April 1993, she grew up in the Landstraße district, the daughter of a Georgian mother and Austrian father. Her childhood was filled with ballet, gymnastics, martial arts, and swimming, as well as playing the violin. As a teenager, she switched to guitar and formed a punk rock band called the Death Row Groupies.
Kaischauri stumbled into wrestling at age 19, after accidentally running into a show. She trained at Wrestling School Austria under Gerhard Hradil, developing her signature spider-like moves in a basement dojo. She debuted in 2017 in Vienna's underground scene, which she fondly recalls as "loud, chaotic, and cheeky." In 2019, she won the WUW Women's Championship, and in 2021, she captured the Triangle Ribbon Championship at Ice Ribbon. Her tenure in Japan began in earnest in 2020, when she opted to remain in the country during COVID-19 lockdowns, and she eventually became a breakout star in Stardom, where she was a founding member of the villainous H.A.T.E. stable. Known as the "Idol Killer" and "The Toxic Spider," she combined an aggressive, agile style with arachnid-themed attire and a persona that challenged joshi conventions. She held titles including the Goddess of Stardom Championship, the Artist of Stardom Championship, and the SWA World Championship, and was ranked in the PWI Women's 150.
In 2024, she joined the villainous Oedo Tai faction, which soon became H.A.T.E., and later departed Stardom in a kayfabe firing. In May 2025, she debuted for All Elite Wrestling, attacking Jamie Hayter, and soon formed the Triangle of Madness with Julia Hart and Skye Blue. Outside wrestling, Kaischauri is an artist who paints, makes music, and exhibits her work. She speaks Austrian German, Georgian, English, French, and Japanese, and she has performed at Vienna's Burgtheater. She describes her artistic and wrestling careers as interrelated, stating that "the ring is [her] canvas."
