Navneet Kaur Rana

Navneet Kaur Rana is an Indian politician and former actress. Her political journey reached a peak when she was elected as an independent Member of Parliament from Amravati in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, defeating Shiv Sena's Anandrao Adsul. In that campaign, she spent Rs. 65 lakh, notably more than Adsul's Rs. 49 lakh. She also had public altercations with Shiv Sena members across various levels, from local to national arenas, including within the Lok Sabha.

Born on April 18, 1985, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Navneet began her acting career at the age of 18, working primarily in Telugu cinema. After years in the film industry, she transitioned to politics. She first contested in 2014 as a Nationalist Congress Party candidate but was unsuccessful. Later, running as an independent with support from the Indian National Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party, she won the Amravati seat. However, in the 2024 elections, she ran on a BJP ticket but lost to Congress candidate Balwant Wankhede by a margin of 19,731 votes.
