Julia Fordham

Julia Fordham began her professional career in the early 1980s as a backing singer under the name "Jules Fordham," working with Mari Wilson and Kim Wilde before signing a recording contract of her own. Born on Hayling Island, United Kingdom, she is a British singer who eventually settled in California, where she is now based.

Her debut album, simply titled Julia Fordham, was released in 1988 on Circa Records. After an appearance on the BBC1 Wogan chat show in April 1988, the album reached No. 20 on the UK Albums Chart and earned a gold disc. It featured the top 40 single "Happy Ever After," which peaked at No. 27 in August 1988, and the album also charted in the US, reaching No. 118 on the Billboard 200. In 1989, Fordham released her second album, Porcelain, which charted at No. 13 and was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry. It remains her only album to reach the US top 100, peaking at No. 74.

Fordham, who is 63 years old, has blonde hair and blue eyes, and a slim build. Her Instagram following has grown to 5k as of March 2026. She continues to be recognized for her contributions to music, especially from her late-1980s work.
