Biography
About Lily Allen
Lily Allen is a British singer, songwriter, actress, and author with over two decades in the public eye. Born in Greater London in 1985, she first made waves in 2006 when her single "Smile" hit number one on the UK Singles Chart. Her debut album, Alright, Still, sold over 2.6 million copies worldwide and earned nominations at the Grammy Awards, Brit Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards. She is also known for her 2009 album, It's Not Me, It's You, which debuted at number one in the UK and Australia, and featured hits like "The Fear" and "Fuck You." That success led to her Brit Award for British Female Solo Artist in 2010. Subsequent albums Sheezus (2014) and No Shame (2018) continued her chart presence, and she released an autobiography, My Thoughts Exactly, in 2018.
Beyond music, Lily's family has its own fame: she is the older sister of actor Alfie Allen, who played Theon Greyjoy in Game of Thrones. She is also known for her honesty about her personal life, including her bisexuality and her decision in 2025 to undergo breast augmentation. She described the implants as a "simple upgrade" of about one cup size and has been open about the procedure in interviews. That candor extends to her public presence.
At 5'2" and slim, she presents a petite figure, with brown hair and brown eyes. She started her career early, around age 13, and has been active since 1998. With 28 years in the industry, she remains a recognizable figure in British pop culture. Her Instagram following sits at 2.1 million. She is a versatile entertainer, and her work continues to draw attention. Short and direct: she's never been one to shy away from the spotlight.
