About Carla Camurati
Actress, former centerfold, and director Carla Camurati was born on October 14, 1960. The Brazilian native began her career in the early 1980s, gaining recognition for roles in several Rede Globo telenovelas. She also performed in children's theater and starred in films, including Eternamente Pagú, for which she won the Best Actress Award at Festival de Gramado. In July 1983, she appeared on the cover of the Brazilian edition of Playboy, being named Playmate of the Month. She had earlier posed for the magazine in April 1982.
Camurati transitioned to directing in 1995 with the film Carlota Joaquina, Princess of Brazil. From 2007 to 2014, she served as director of Fundação Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, which administers the Teatro Municipal.
