Luiza Brunet

Beyond modeling, Luiza had a brief acting career with special appearances in the soap operas Anjo Mau (1997–1998), Araponga (1990–1991), and O Mapa da Mina (1993), as well as the film Os Trapalhões e o Rei do Futebol (1986). She also made a notable debut at São Paulo Fashion Week on June 13, 2007, modeling for her friend Tereza Santos' brand, with measurements of 1.76 m, 63 kg, 89 cm bust, 64 cm waist, and 91 cm hips.

Luiza is also known for her role as a drum queen in Rio's Carnival. She was queen of the drums for Portela from 1986 to 1994, then for Imperatriz Leopoldinense from 1995, participating in four championship titles in 1995, 1999, 2000, and 2001. She left the parades after the 2005 Carnival but returned for the 2008 edition.

In her personal life, Luiza has been open about her experiences. Her first boyfriend was engineer Gumercindo Brunet, whom she met at 16 in 1978; after a year of dating, she became pregnant and opted for an abortion. She has stated she is in favor of the decriminalization of abortion in Brazil, and she also identifies as a feminist and supports decriminalizing recreational drug use. She married Gumercindo in 1980, divorced in 1984, then married Armando Fernandez in 1985, with whom she had two children: Yasmin Brunet in 1988 and Antônio in 1997. They divorced in 2008. In 2011, she began a relationship with businessman Lírio Parisotto, but they separated in 2016 after an attack she suffered, which led to her filing a complaint; he was sentenced to one year in detention. She has also revealed that she has had depression since childhood, and the crises worsened after the attack, leading her back to psychotherapy.
