Ayesha Takia Azmi, born 10 April 1986 in Mumbai, is a former Indian actress and model. She burst onto the scene in 2004 with the action thriller Taarzan: The Wonder Car, for which she won the Filmfare Best Debut Award and IIFA Award Star Debut of the Year Female. Her career spanned eight years, from 2004 to 2012, during which she appeared in a mix of successful and less commercially successful films. Highlights include Socha Na Tha (2005), Salaam-E-Ishq (2007), Wanted (2009), and Paathshaala (2010). She also earned critical acclaim for her role in the 2006 drama Dor, which brought her several award nominations, including Screen Award for Best Actress (Critics) and Zee Cine Award – Critics' Choice Best Actress.
