Vanessa Demouy

Vanessa Demouy, born 5 April 1973 in Montreuil, France, is a French actress and former model. She began modeling at seventeen, but classical dance came first; she practiced until age 14. Around 15, she was chosen for advertisements, including a campaign for the lingerie brand Aubade. She is best known for her role as Linda in the sitcom Classe Mannequin and for Models in Paradise (Coeurs caraïbes), alongside co-star Anne-Charlotte Pontabry. She also became the third model to portray Lara Croft, following Rhona Mitra and preceding Nell McAndrew.

Demouy's personal life has drawn attention. From summer 2001 she lived with actor and screenwriter Philippe Lellouche. They had a son, Solal, born May 17, 2003, and married on June 26, 2010, at the Château de la Garenne de Launay in Douchy. Their daughter Sharlie arrived on May 5, 2011. The next day, President Nicolas Sarkozy visited the maternity ward and came to Demouy's room to congratulate her; her husband later told the press that Sarkozy was their daughter's first visitor. The couple's separation was announced by Voici in 2016, which Demouy denied, but she made it official in September 2017.
