About Valerie Leon

Edited by the community

Valerie Leon first caught filmgoers' attention in the late 1960s as an actress and glamour model, but it was her string of memorable appearances in Hammer Horror and Carry On films during the 1960s and 1970s that made her a familiar face to British audiences. She also took on the role of a Bond Girl, appearing in The Spy Who Loved Me and Never Say Never Again. One of her most discussed scenes comes from 1971's Blood From the Mummy's Tomb, where she appears to be nude; however, as she explains in the DVD commentary, a body double was used for that shot.

Born in Islington, Greater London, on 12 November 1945, she is British and has worked in the industry for decades. She stands 5'11" tall with a slim build and grey eyes, a combination that helped her stand out in her era. Her on-screen credits remain a talking point for fans of classic British horror and comedy.
