Edited by the community

Ulla Stromstedt was an actress whose career spanned from 1961 to 1985, a period of about 24 years. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, she was a Swedish actress with a slim build, blonde hair, and blue eyes. She is best remembered for her role in the American television show Flipper (1965–66) and the 1967 film Catalina Caper, which was later lampooned by Mystery Science Theater 3000 in 1990, where her character was called 'Creepy Girl.' She also appeared in numerous television episodes during the 1960s, including Hogan's Heroes (1966–68) and Tarzan (1967). Her performances often involved implied nudity, though her work remained within that category.

Stromstedt's education was as international as her career. She studied post-baccalaureate in Stockholm, language and art at the Sorbonne in Paris, and theater in the United States at the Actors Studio. In 1960, she was elected the first Mälardrottningen in Stockholm. A year later, in 1961, she married Gilbert Cole in Los Angeles. The couple had one son, Jonathan Strömstedt Cole.

Stromstedt died on Friday, June 13, 1986, in Cannes, France, at the age of 46. Her life had been vibrant and full. The official cause of death was myocardial infarction, though rumors have suggested drugs or alcohol may have played a role. Her legacy lives on through her work and the affectionate nod from MST3K fans.
