Swedish actress and director Tuva Novotny was born on 21 December 1979 in Stockholm. She grew up in Åmot, Brunskog outside Arvika, and is the daughter of Czech film director David Jan Novotný and artist Barbro Hedström.
In 2003, Novotny moved to Copenhagen, Denmark, where she still lives today. She has two daughters with her former partner, Norwegian adventurer Nicolai Bjerrum Lersbryggen, one born in 2007, and a son with Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgård, born in 2022. Known for her slim build, brown hair, and blue eyes, she has worked across film and television in both Sweden and Denmark. Her background in directing adds a distinct perspective to her craft.
