Biography
About Tonya Harding
Tonya Maxene Price, née Harding, is an American former figure skater, retired boxer, and reality TV star. Born in Portland, Oregon, in 1970, she first gained fame in the skating world. In 1991, she became the first American woman and only the second woman in history to land a triple Axel in competition, a feat that remains a hallmark of her career. She won the U.S. Championship in both 1991 and 1994, though the latter title was later stripped, and she took a silver medal at the 1991 World Championships. Harding is a two-time Olympian and a two-time Skate America champion. Her skating career ended abruptly following a controversial incident in 1994, when her ex-husband orchestrated an attack on rival Nancy Kerrigan. Harding pleaded guilty to conspiracy to hinder prosecution and was banned for life from the sport.
After skating, she turned to boxing, competing professionally from 2003 to 2004. Her life story has inspired numerous books, films, and documentaries, most notably the 2017 movie I, Tonya, in which she was portrayed by Margot Robbie. In 2018, she appeared on Dancing with the Stars, finishing in third place, and in 2019, she won Celebrity Worst Cooks. She stood 5'2", has blue eyes, auburn hair, and an average build, with naturally real B-cup breasts. Today, she has an Instagram following of around 69,000 people.
Harding's public persona has been shaped as much by her athletic accomplishments as by the scandals that marked her career. She remains a recognizable figure in popular culture. Her transition from Olympic athlete to reality TV personality illustrates a life of reinvention. She is straight and Caucasian, and she continues to be a subject of public fascination. Her story, marked by both triumph and controversy, has left an enduring mark on American sports history.
