Taissa Farmiga

Taissa Farmiga broke through playing Violet Harmon in the first season of American Horror Story, a role that made her a fixture of the anthology series through its later installments Coven, Roanoke, and Apocalypse.

Born in Readington, New Jersey, Farmiga grew up in a family that included her sister, director and fellow actress Vera Farmiga, and she stepped in front of the camera at just 16. Her film credits span the crime drama The Bling Ring, the psychological thriller Mindscape, and the comedy slasher The Final Girls, which premiered at South by Southwest. That festival also showcased her dramatic turns in 6 Years and Share, and critics named her one of its breakout stars.
