Biography
About Susan Denberg
A slim, 5'7" woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, Susan Denberg was born in Klagenfurt, Austria, on August 2, 1944. Standing at 5'7" and weighing 123 lbs, her measurements were 34–25–34. She began as a chorus dancer before being chosen as Playboy's Playmate of the Month in August 1966, at age 21. Her centerfold was photographed by Peter Gowland. She was one of the finalists for 1967's Playmate of the Year, along with Tish Howard, though the title went to Lisa Baker. In her Playboy profile, she stated ambitions to become an actress.
Denberg's acting career included a co-starring role as a German girl on the ABC war drama series 12 O'Clock High in 1965. The following year, she made her feature film debut in the drama An American Dream. While working on that film, Warner Bros. held a contest to find her a new screen name, offering $500 for the best entry; all entries were rejected. She is perhaps best known for her role as Magda Kovacs in the Star Trek episode "Mudd's Women" and as the female lead in Hammer Film's 1967 cult science fiction/horror film Frankenstein Created Woman, opposite Peter Cushing. Her Austrian accent was considered too strong for that role, so her voice was dubbed.
After Frankenstein Created Woman, Denberg returned to Austria. She was married to Tony Scotti from 1965 to 1968, ending in divorce. She later pursued a career as a model, continuing to work as a Playboy model and centerfold. With real, natural 32C breasts, she is a former adult model, actress, and centerfold. Now 81 years old, she is retired from the limelight.
