Biography
About Shotzi Blackheart
Shotzi Blackheart, born Ashley Louise Alfaro née Urbanski on March 14, 1992, in Santa Clara, California, is an American professional wrestler of mixed-race heritage, primarily Asian. She began wrestling in 2014 at the underground Oakland promotion Hoodslam, where she performed as Missy Highasshit, a parody of Missy Hyatt. She worked the California independent circuit for All Pro Wrestling, Bar Wrestling, and Big Time Wrestling, also appearing for Impact Wrestling in Nashville. In 2015, she tried out for WWE's Tough Enough but had to withdraw due to an irregular heartbeat. She later won the Shine Nova Championship in 2019 with Shotzi Blackheart as her ring name, a nod to her fandom of Joan Jett. When William Regal offered her a WWE contract, she vacated that title and signed with WWE.
In WWE, she debuted on NXT in December 2019 and gained attention for her tank-driving entrance and punk rock style. She and Ember Moon won the NXT Women's Tag Team Championship in March 2021, her first title in the company. After moving to SmackDown later that year, she shortened her name to Shotzi, turned heel in a storyline, then returned to a face role and challenged Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women's Championship. In 2023, she cut off her green hair in a moment that also paid tribute to her sister, who battles bile duct cancer. She suffered a torn ACL in February 2024, keeping her out for about nine months. She returned to NXT in December 2024 and made her final WWE appearance in April 2025. Her contract expired on May 3, 2025, ending a six-year tenure.
Since leaving WWE, Shotzi has been active on the independent circuit. At Hoodslam in June 2025, she competed against her original trainer Rick Stoner. She debuted for GCW in the Tournament of Survival and, after a match, dubbed herself the "Indy God," starting a feud with Matt Cardona. In July 2025, she challenged for MLP's Canadian Women's Championship. In November 2025, she won the House of Glory Women's Championship. She debuted for Major League Wrestling in June 2025 and won the MLW World Women's Featherweight Championship, then officially signed with MLW in March 2026. Beyond wrestling, she has acted as a dancer and guest on KOFY TV shows, appeared in music videos, and was a playable character in WWE 2K22 and 2K23. In September 2023, she started hosting a ghost hunting show with Scarlett on WWE's YouTube channel. She married Jesús Alfaro on December 29, 2023, and competed in her wedding dress that night.
