Meg Turney

Turney first got into cosplay in 2002, after a friend invited her to Ushicon 1. Her first cosplay was Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon from Sailor Moon, a costume she later admitted she "failed terribly" at making. Despite that rocky start, she became recognized for her work and eventually turned it into a full-time career. Her cosplays of Faye Valentine, Princess Leia, and Psycho were particularly noted by online publications. Her popularity in the cosplay community led to appearances on Syfy's Heroes of Cosplay and a commercial for Guild Wars 2, as well as a guest spot at Fan Expo Vancouver in 2016.

Beyond cosplay, Turney has a long history in online media. She hosted event coverage for deviantART and appeared on CraveOnline's TechKnow. In July 2012, she debuted on SourceFed, where she co-hosted for two years and won an Audience Choice Streamy Award for Series of the Year in February 2013. She was also a writer for the SourceFed website. In 2014, she joined Rooster Teeth as a host of The Know, and voiced Neon Katt in the anime RWBY. She left Rooster Teeth in 2016 to focus on her personal YouTube channel and Twitch streaming. In 2019, she signed with Abrams Artists.

Turney has been open about her bisexuality and has discussed it in interviews, including on VlogBrothers, and spoke at VidCon 2013 on a panel about being LGBT on YouTube. She has also been involved in controversy, such as a 2014 incident when she was mistakenly reported as banned from Twitch, which she publicly clarified. She has been in a relationship with filmmaker Gavin Free since 2013. Her work includes solo nudity, and she maintains an OnlyFans page where she shares cosplay and photoshoots.
