Lynn Redgrave

British actress Lynn Redgrave was born in Marylebone, London, the youngest of three children. Her parents, Sir Michael Redgrave and Rachel Kempson, were both actors, and she grew up surrounded by a family steeped in performance. Her sister is the celebrated Vanessa Redgrave, and her brother was Corin Redgrave, an actor and political activist. With such lineage, her entry into acting seemed almost inevitable. She worked steadily from 1962 until 2010, a span of 48 years, and was known for her red hair and slim build.

Redgrave's family connections extended further into the entertainment world. She was the aunt of actresses Joely Richardson, Jemma Redgrave, and Natasha Richardson, as well as writer/director Carlo Gabriel Nero. Her grandfather, Roy Redgrave, was a silent screen leading man, adding another layer to her theatrical heritage. She passed away in 2010 at age 67. She lives on through her extensive body of work.
