Lindsey Vonn

Lindsey Vonn stands 5'10" with an athletic build, blonde hair, and hazel eyes. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, she has been skiing competitively since 1999, starting at around age 14. Over a career spanning 27 years, Vonn has become one of the most decorated alpine skiers in history.

Vonn won the gold medal in downhill at the 2010 Winter Olympics, a first for an American woman. She claimed four World Cup overall championships, with three consecutive titles in 2008, 2009, and 2010, plus another in 2012. Her record includes eight World Cup season titles in downhill, five in super-G, and three consecutive in the combined. In 2016, she earned her 20th World Cup crystal globe, the overall record for men or women. She is one of six women to win World Cup races in all five alpine disciplines and has 82 career World Cup victories, a women's record until January 2023. Only Mikaela Shiffrin and Ingemar Stenmark have more. Vonn has also won two World Championship gold medals and three silver medals, plus Olympic bronze.

In 2011, she received the Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year award and was the US Olympic Committee's sportswoman of the year. Injuries disrupted several seasons, including most of 2013 and 2014. During recovery, she worked as a correspondent for NBC News at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She announced her retirement in 2019, but returned to competitive skiing in November 2024. She remains one of the greatest skiers of all time.
