About Lenna Sjooblom
Swedish former model Lenna Sjooblom, born in Jarna in 1951, began her career in Chicago, Illinois, modeling jewellery and for catalogs. Her centerfold, photographed by Dwight Hooker, appeared in Playboy as the Playmate of the Month for November 1972. That image, known as 'Lenna,' became a standard test photo in digital image processing research.
Sjooblom also appeared as Playboy Germany's Playmate of the Month for February 1973, and Playboy Italy's Playmate of the Month for February–March 1973. She worked briefly, active only in 1972. Standing 5'6" with a slim build, she has black hair and blue eyes. She is straight and performed full nudity in her work. Now 75, her brief career left a lasting mark in both modeling and technology.
