About Laurene Landon
Laurene Landon, born on 17 March 1957 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian actress known for her statuesque 5'10" frame and athletic presence. She began acting after her family relocated to the United States when she was four. Landon's breakout role came as Molly, one of two female wrestlers managed by Peter Falk in Robert Aldrich's comedy '...All the Marbles' (1981), where she performed many of her own stunts. She followed with comedic turns as a stewardess in 'Airplane II: The Sequel' (1982) and a loyal secretary in 'I, the Jury' (1982).
Landon impressed action audiences as the warrior Hundra in the titular 1983 film and as a half-Native American heroine in 'Yellow Hair and the Fortress of Gold' (1984). Her policewoman role in 'Maniac Cop' (1988) and its 1990 sequel showcased her range in horror-action. After a long hiatus, she returned to screen in the 'Masters of Horror' episode 'Pick Me Up' (2006). Short she is not.
