About Keisha Knight Pulliam
Keshia Knight Pulliam, born April 9, 1979, in Newark, New Jersey, was just three years old when she began her career on Sesame Street. She became a household name playing Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show, a role that earned her an Emmy nomination at age six, making her the youngest actress ever nominated in that category. Her portrayal of the Huxtables' youngest daughter made her one of the most recognizable child stars of the 1980s. VH1 ranked her #19 on its list of the 100 Greatest Kid Stars.
After The Cosby Show ended, her family moved to Virginia, where she attended the Potomac School and later Foxcroft School. She earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Spelman College in 2001. Keshia is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, initiated through the Eta Kappa chapter. Her career has spanned decades, with roles in both comedy and drama. In 2008, she joined the cast of Tyler Perry's House of Payne, playing Miranda Lucas Payne, a reformed con artist. This role won her the 2009 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
