Katie Cassidy

Katie Cassidy is best known as a scream queen, with early horror roles in When a Stranger Calls, Black Christmas, and A Nightmare on Elm Street. She later found mainstream fame as Laurel Lance, also known as Black Canary, on The CW's Arrow, a role she reprised across the Arrowverse in The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and the animated series Vixen. Her portrayal of the parallel universe counterpart Black Siren added depth to her career, showcasing her range as an actress.

Born in Los Angeles, California, she is the daughter of actor and musician David Cassidy, of The Partridge Family fame. Her paternal grandparents were actors Jack Cassidy and Evelyn Ward, and she is the niece of Shaun Cassidy, Patrick Cassidy, and Ryan Cassidy. She has a younger half-brother, Beau, and two younger half-sisters, Jenna and Jamie, from her parents' later marriages.
