Kaitlan Collins

Born on April 7, 1992, in Prattville, Alabama, Collins grew up in an apolitical household with four siblings. She began her college education at the University of Alabama as a chemistry major, following her older sister's path, but soon pivoted to journalism and political science, earning a bachelor's degree in 2014. After moving to Washington, D.C., she started at The Daily Caller, a conservative news website, where she worked in entertainment reporting before being promoted to White House correspondent in early 2017. That same year, CNN hired her, and she quickly moved up the ranks.

In January 2021, at age 28, she was promoted to CNN's chief White House correspondent, becoming one of the youngest people to hold that role at a major network. She later co-anchored CNN This Morning and, since July 2023, has hosted her own primetime show, The Source with Kaitlan Collins. She has also moderated high-profile events, including a 2023 Republican presidential town hall. Collins remains active in her role as chief White House correspondent during the second Trump presidency. Her work has earned her recognition on lists like Forbes' 30 Under 30, TIME100 Next, and Mediaite's Most Influential in News Media. She stands 5'7" with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes.
