About Elisha Cuthbert
At 5'3" and 108 lbs, Elisha Cuthbert's petite frame has been a constant in Hollywood since her teens. Born on Tuesday, November 30, 1982, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, she grew up in Greenfield Park, Quebec, near Montreal. She is Canadian and began modeling children's clothing at age nine, later working as a foot model. Her first televised appearance was as an extra on the horror-themed children's series Are You Afraid of the Dark?, where she eventually became a regular. She also co-hosted Popular Mechanics for Kids, filmed in Montreal, and her reporting caught the attention of Hillary Clinton, who invited her to the White House.
Cuthbert made her feature film debut in the family drama Dancing on the Moon (1997) and appeared in other Canadian family movies and the airplane thriller Airspeed. In 2001, she starred in the Canadian television movie Lucky Girl and won a Gemini Award for her performance. After moving to Hollywood at 17, she was cast as Kim Bauer in the FOX action-thriller series 24, a role that made her a household name. She later starred as Alex Kerkovich in the ABC comedy series Happy Endings.
As an actress and model with blonde hair and blue eyes, she has also earned recognition in men's magazines: she ranked #65 on Maxim's 2011 Hot 100 and #33 on FHM UK's 2010 list of the 100 Sexiest Women in the World.
