Desislava Bozhilova

In 2011, she learned about the Bulgarian Snooker Referees Association, which helps people become referees. She decided to join, and soon passed the international snooker referee test. Her first international competition as a referee was the 2012 Bulgarian Open, part of the Players Tour League. Since then, she has officiated at the English Open, German Masters, and Players Cup. In 2016, she reached her first ranking final at the Riga Masters, and also made her Triple Crown officiating debut at the UK Tournament that year. She was first seen at the main stage of the World Snooker Competition in 2019, and was chosen again for the World Championship the following year.

Off the snooker table, Desislava graduated from the University of Forestry in Sofia with a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture in 2016. She often creates 3D renderings of homes between tournaments. She has managed to balance her studies and her refereeing career successfully. Bozhilova is one of the highest-paid snooker referees in the world. TSM Sportz reports she earns a basic wage of $23,500, which is above the female average, and she is expected to earn more per game along with sizable sponsorship income. At 33, she is 5'7" with blonde hair, brown eyes, and natural breasts.
