About Cristina D'Avena
Cristina D'Avena is an Italian singer, actress, and radio and TV host, with a career spanning over four decades. A native of Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, she began performing at age three on Lo Zecchino d'Oro and was selected for the prestigious Institute of Antoniano choir. In the early 1980s, she sang numerous anime theme songs, which were compiled into several successful albums. Around the same time, she made her acting debut. In 1986, she appeared in Love me Licia and its sequels, an Italian adaptation of the Japanese manga Ai Shite Knight. She has sold nearly 7 million copies of her albums. Cristina has been performing concerts in Italy since the late 1990s, alone or with the comic group Gem Boy. Now 62, she remains active and continues to be a beloved figure in Italian entertainment. Her natural look and petite frame are part of her enduring charm.
