Corinna Everson

After stepping away from competition, Everson moved into acting. Her first major movie role was in Double Impact (1991) with Jean-Claude Van Damme, followed by a minor part in Natural Born Killers (1994) and a reprisal of an evil musclewoman character in Ballistic (1995). She also made guest appearances on television, most notably playing Atalanta on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and appeared in two episodes of The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. alongside her sister, Cameo Kneuer. In 1991 she was a guest on the game show To Tell The Truth.

Everson also became a fitness media personality. She was the original host and producer of the fitness show BodyShaping, and she hosted her own exercise program on ESPN, Cory Everson's Gotta Sweat, for seven years. Her competitive resume includes wins at the 1980 Ms. Mid America, the 1982 IFBB North American Championship, and the 1984 NPC Nationals. She was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 1999 as part of its inaugural class, and in 2007 she became the first woman to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Arnold Classic. Two more honors followed: the Muscle Beach Venice Body Building Hall of Fame in 2005 and the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. She remains a pioneering figure in women's bodybuilding.
