Carmella Cureton

Muscular and 5'4" tall, Carmella Cureton is a retired IFBB Professional bodybuilder and former adult model. Born on Wednesday 13th of April 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland, she is an American of Mixed-race (primarily Black) ethnicity. Her career in bodybuilding began in 1994, when she earned her IFBB Pro Card by winning first place at NPC Nationals in the Middleweight division.

Carmella was active in professional bodybuilding from 1994 to 2005, a span of 11 years. During this time, she achieved notable success, including a first place at the New Jersey State Championship in 1994 and a fifth place at the Jan Tana Classic in 1996. She also made a professional appearance at the Atlantic City Pro in 2007. In addition to her athletic pursuits, she worked as an adult model and has also been a fitness trainer and sportswoman specializing in weightlifting.

Beyond competition, Carmella has extensive experience in the fitness industry. She is a certified personal trainer and competition posing coach, working out of Gravity Fitness in Atlanta, Georgia. She holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate and is also a certified Reiki healing practitioner, blending physical and mental transformation in her coaching. She was photographed by Martin Schoeller for his Female Bodybuilders portrait series, and her work has been featured in physical-culture publications. Her current residence is Atlanta, Georgia, and she previously attended Olney High School.
