Cara McCutchen

Cara McCutchen is a Canadian singer and heavy metal vocalist from St. Albert, Alberta. She has fronted several bands across thrash, death, and power metal genres. Her first professional experience came as the vocalist for the Canadian thrash metal band Minax, a role she held from 2008 to 2012. She is best known for her time with Mortillery, where she sang from 2008 until the band's indefinite hiatus in 2018. During that stretch, Mortillery released three studio albums and an EP. In 2019, Cara joined Naitaka, a melodic death/thrash metal band, which has so far put out one full-length album and an EP. Most recently, in 2025, she contributed vocals to the debut album of the power/speed metal band On Fire. Her journey shows a singer comfortable moving between aggressive subgenres, always lending her voice to heavy, fast music.
