About Britt Ekland
Britt Ekland was born Britt-Marie Eklund on Tuesday 6th of October 1942 in Stockholm, Södermanland and Uppland, Sweden. She began acting in 1959 at around 16 years old, and over the next seven decades became one of Sweden's most recognized exports. Her Swedish heritage and striking blonde hair and green eyes made her a natural fit for the camera, and she quickly moved from European productions to international fame.
Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, Ekland built a reputation as a versatile actress. She appeared in The Double Man (1967), The Night They Raided Minsky's (1968), Machine Gun McCain (1969), and Stiletto (1969). Her role in the British crime film Get Carter (1971) cemented her status as a sex symbol. She also ventured into horror with The Wicker Man (1973) and joined the James Bond Girls list for her part in The Man with the Golden Gun (1974).
Her career continued strongly into the 1980s with films like Fraternity Vacation (1985), Moon in Scorpio (1987), and Scandal (1989).
