About Anita Ekberg
Blonde and blue-eyed with a slim 5'7" frame, Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress and former Playboy model whose career spanned from 1950 to 2002. She became internationally famous for her role as Sylvia in Federico Fellini's film La Dolce Vita (1960). She worked primarily in Italy and became a permanent resident there in 1964.
After a night out in 1960, paparazzi followed her home to her villa. Photographers captured her kneeing one of them in the groin and threatening others with a bow and arrow. The images were widely published. Ekberg died on 11 January 2015 at age 83.
