Aline Tamara

Aline Tamara Moreira de Amorim, a Brazilian model and influencer from São Paulo, died on Sunday, 29 September 2024, at age 37, when a boat capsized near Devil's Throat in São Vicente. She was the only victim of the sinking who was still missing when her body was found the following Friday, on the coast of the municipality. The boat was returning from a private party on a larger luxury vessel when it was hit by a strong wave and overturned. Five of the seven people aboard were rescued, but Aline and another woman, a fitness model and trainer, did not survive.

Aline had been active as an influencer and model from 2020 until her death, starting around age 33. She shared glimpses of her daily life, her slim frame, and occasional trips on social media platforms, building a following of 38k on Instagram. She lived in São Paulo and had attended the party with two friends, posting images of the boat before the tragedy. She is survived by her 17-year-old son and other family members.

Before her online career, Aline had worked in business, a profession she left behind to pursue influencing and modeling. Her content reflected a straightforward love of life: her body, her travels, and the ordinary moments she chose to broadcast. Straight and Latin, with black hair and brown eyes, she presented herself with an enhanced figure and a sense of ease that drew viewers in. Her death, sudden and shocking, cut short a life that had been, by all accounts, lived in the open.
