Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima was born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. She began her career at 15, winning Ford Models' "Supermodel of Brazil" competition, and took second place the following year in Ford's "Supermodel of the World" contest before signing with Elite Model Management in New York City. She became a Victoria's Secret Angel in 1999 and held that role until 2018, making her the longest-running Angel. In 2017, she was named "the most valuable Victoria's Secret Angel." She has also been a spokesmodel for Maybelline since 2003 and appeared in Super Bowl and Kia Motors commercials.
Lima's modeling career has been consistently lucrative. She was the world's second highest-paid model from 2014 onward.
