About Alexandra Bastedo
Alexandra Bastedo began her career at a dancing school when she was five. As a teenager, she trained as an actress and made a film in Hollywood at sixteen, but turned down further offers to finish her schooling. Winning the role of Sharron Macready in The Champions was the high point of a short but highly successful career.
Born in Hove, East Sussex, England, Alexandra was British and worked as an actress from 1963 to 2008. She appeared on the cover of the Smiths' live album 'Rank'. She passed away on 12 January 2014, at the age of 67.
