Veronica Hart

Veronica Hart, born Jane Esther Hamilton in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a former porn star and director. She is best known for her work in the adult film industry during the 1980s, with a career that spanned from 1980 to 2022. Hart started performing at about 23 years old and remained active for 42 years, amassing a notable body of work, including 220 covers, 25 photosets, and 185 videos for companies like Caballero, VCA, Vivid, and Hustler Video.

Before her adult career, Hart graduated from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in 1979 with a degree in theatre. She then spent time in England and pursued mainstream modeling and acting. After an accident with a coffee urn that scarred one side of her body, she decided to enter adult films. She is recognized for performances in films like Amanda by Night, Roommates, and A Scent of Heather. She briefly retired in 2013, then finally retired from performing in 2022, though she continued directing and producing.

Hart also has director credits from 1988 to 2021. She is a member of the AVN Hall of Fame. Her life events inspired the character Amber Waves in Paul Thomas Anderson's 1997 film Boogie Nights, and she appeared in the movie as a judge. She also had a role in Anderson's later film Magnolia. Hart has also been credited under various pseudonyms, including Jane Hamilton and Veronica Heart.
