Vanessa Blue

Born in Long Beach, California, on May 27, 1974, Vanessa started as a nude dancer while studying to become an emergency medical technician. A fellow dancer introduced her to fetish modeling, which led to her first porn performance alongside Ed Powers. After a year, she took a three-year break to be with family in Nebraska, returning to the industry in 2000. She worked with Mercenary Pictures for several years, directing series like Black Reign, and was engaged to its owner, Lexington Steele. In 2008, they filed federal lawsuits against each other over video ownership, which were settled in March 2009 through alternative dispute resolution.

Beyond directing, Vanessa has appeared on Playboy TV and hosted shows on Playboy Radio until 2008. She is the only American woman to hold performance and directing contracts with both Playboy TV and Hustler Video simultaneously. In 2003, she had her own line of adult novelty products. She also appeared in mainstream media, including a Rolling Stones Magazine interview with 50 Cent and a cameo in The Game's music video 'Wouldn't Get Far.' In 2011, she briefly returned to performing, doing scenes for Brazzers.
