Valkyrae

With brown hair and brown eyes, a petite 5'3" frame, and an average build, Valkyrae cuts a familiar figure in the streaming world. She stands out not for her look, but for her career. Born Rachell Marie Hofstetter in Moses Lake, Washington, she is an American of Filipina and German descent. Straight and mixed-race, she has been active since 2010, starting around age 18. Today, she moves between roles as a cosplayer, gamer, influencer, podcaster, TikTok star, and YouTuber, and she has become one of the most recognizable female faces in gaming.

Valkyrae began streaming on Twitch in 2015. Her breakthrough came in 2018 with Fortnite, and she joined 100 Thieves as their first female content creator. In 2020, she signed an exclusive contract with YouTube, leaving Twitch. Later that year, her viewership peaked while playing Among Us, leading to the Game Award for 'Content Creator of the Year' and a Streamy Award for best live streamer. Adweek named her 'Gaming Creator of the Year' in 2021, and Forbes included her on its 30 Under 30 list in 2022. She has been YouTube's most-watched female streamer since 2020.

As of November 2025, her social media reach included 3.3 million Instagram followers, 2.4 million on TikTok, 4.06 million YouTube subscribers, and 1.6 million Twitch followers. She also co-owns 100 Thieves, the gaming organization where she made her name. Her impact on the industry is measured not just in numbers, but in the path she has carved for other women in gaming.
