Biography
About Tricia Devereaux
American former adult film actress and producer Tricia Devereaux was born on January 12, 1975, in Illinois, United States. She grew up in a small town near Chicago with a strict Catholic upbringing, attended a private Catholic high school, and earned a bachelor's degree in biology from a Missouri college before spending a year in medical school at the University of Toledo. Her career in the adult industry began through her then-husband Patrick, who worked as a strip club bouncer; she won an amateur contest, started dancing, and placed fifth in Déjà Vu's national Stripper of the Year. After appearing in Hustler's "Beaver Hunt," she made her film debut in Fashion Sluts 7 (1995) with Joey Silvera, starring in about 126 films until 1998, including Cellar Dwellers 2 (1997), for which she won the AVN Award for Best All-Girl Sex Scene with Jeanna Fine and P.J. Sparxx. She later co-owned Evil Angel studios with her husband, John Stagliano, and won a 2003 AVN Award for Best Editing for The Fashionistas. In 2011, she was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame.
Devereaux retired from performing in 1998 after contracting HIV during a scene with Marc Wallice, a significant controversy that cut her on-screen career short. She did return for a non-penetrative scene in 2008 for the project Defend Our Porn. Known for her brown hair, 5'7" height, and 36D bra size, she has tattoos including a fleur de lis on the back of her neck and a barbed wire and vine band on her right wrist, along with piercings in her tongue, navel, and clithood. Her body of work spans solo, girl-girl, and boy-girl content, including anal and double penetration scenes. Married to John Stagliano since November 26, 2008, she has one child and now lives privately under the name Karen Stagliano. Fans and critics praised her as "a girl-next-door with fierce passion," and a 2024 X post called her a 90s icon. She lives privately. Her legacy endures through her editing and production work, including shaping influential titles like The Fashionistas.
