Tilla Durieux

Tilla Durieux was an Austrian actress and writer whose career spanned 68 years, from 1902 to 1970. Born in Vienna in 1880, she began acting at around age 21 and remained active into her late eighties. She was known for her auburn hair and brown eyes, and her natural bust. Her long professional life made her a familiar figure in European theatre and film. She passed away in 1971 at the age of 90. Her writing added another dimension to her artistic legacy. Throughout her career, she worked during a period of significant change in the arts.
