Teryl Rothery

Actress Teryl Rothery, a Canadian born in Vancouver, British Columbia, on November 9, 1962, has been in the entertainment industry since 1986. She began as a dancer at age thirteen, performing in her first musical, "Bye Bye Birdie," and later earned a Most Outstanding Performer award for her role in "Annie Get Your Gun." Over four decades, she has built an extensive career across television, film, and voice acting.

Rothery is best known for her role as Dr. Janet Fraiser on Stargate SG-1 (1997), the Medical Officer for the Cheyenne Mountain Facility, whose skill and compassion face the peculiar cases brought by SG teams. Her television credits include guest appearances on The Outer Limits (1995), The X-Files (1993), First Wave (1998), The Commish (1991), Robin's Hoods (1994), M.A.N.T.I.S. (1994), and Cobra (1993). She has also starred in TV movies such as Who Killed My Daughter (1995), Deceived by Trust: A Moment of Truth Movie (1995), She Stood Alone: The Tailhook Scandal (1995), For the Love of Nancy (1994), and The Man Who Wouldn't Die (1994). Her feature film credits include Urban Safari (1995), Andre (1994), and The Surgeon (1995), as well as Masterminds (1997) with Patrick Stewart and Mr. Rice's Secret (1999) with David Bowie.

As a voice actor, Rothery has lent her talents to animated series including Exosquad (1993) and Ranma 1/2. When not working, she enjoys walking, riding, and roller blading. She is 5'2" tall with blonde hair and brown eyes.
