About Terry Farrell
Terry Farrell is best known for playing Jadzia Dax, the Trill science officer, on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, a role she held from 1993 until the end of the sixth season. She also co-starred as Regina "Reggie" Kostas on the comedy series Becker for four seasons. Her modeling career began when she was a teenager after submitting her photo to Elite, leading to a contract with Mademoiselle within two days of arriving in New York. She appeared on the covers of Italian and German Vogue, and she has been active as an actress and model since 1982.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Farrell stood nearly six feet tall in high school. Her first acting roles included a short-lived 1984 series called Paper Dolls and the film Back to School with Rodney Dangerfield. She studied acting with Stella Adler and took on guest roles in shows like Quantum Leap and The Cosby Show. A second pilot for a U.S. version of Red Dwarf, in which she played Cat, was not picked up, but soon after she was cast in Deep Space Nine.
After leaving Deep Space Nine, Farrell played Reggie on Becker for 94 episodes. She also voiced the character Six of One in the animated short Tripping the Rift, though that version aired only once on television. She retired from acting in 2002 and later divorced. She returned for the fan film Star Trek: Renegades, reprising her role in web episodes. She has an Instagram following of 46k.
