About Taylor Wane

Edited by the community

Taylor Wane, born Joanne DuTremble on August 27, 1968, in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England, grew up with aspirations of becoming a schoolteacher. Her mother entered her in a calendar girl contest at age 18, which she won, shifting her path to modeling. She posed topless for the Daily Sport while working at a Newcastle jeweler's, then signed with an agency and worked with photographer Ellen von Unwerth. Moving to London and later Los Angeles, she entered the adult film industry in 1989 at age 21, debuting in X Factor: The Next Generation (1991). Over her career she appeared in more than 350 films, known for her large, enhanced, freckled breasts and domineering MILF roles.

Wane's transition to a MILF star marked a significant evolution, shifting from her early 1990s persona as a youthful, glamorous blonde to a commanding, mature figure in the 2000s. She embraced roles in titles like Voluptuous Vixens 3 (2006) and The Breastford Wives (2007). She also directed films, including Catfight Club (2003), nominated for Best Specialty of the Year, and Dirty Deeds (1997), nominated for Best Big Boob Feature. In 2005, she launched the Taylor Wane Collection of sex toys, and in 2007, she and her husband, Laurien, created a poster in Navy SEAL combat gear, with proceeds supporting the Disabled American Veterans foundation. She hosted radio shows on Playboy Radio and Ksex Radio, winning awards for Best On-Air Personality and Funniest Porn Jockey.

Her achievements include being a Penthouse Pet of the Month in June 1994, winning a 1992 AVN Award for Best Couples Sex Scene, and being inducted into multiple halls of fame: AVN (2005), XRCO (2007), NightMoves (2006), and Legends of Erotica (2009). She has been nominated for many AVN awards, including Best New Starlet and MILF Performer of the Year. Beyond adult films, she appeared in mainstream roles such as Cyberkidz (1994), Little Nicky (2000), The Mind of the Married Man (2001), and Nip/Tuck, and made music video appearances for Danzig, Gene Simmons, and Kid Rock. She wrote for magazines like Swank, LIPS, and Erotic Film Guide. As of July 19, 2025, the then 56-year-old runs Taylor Wane Entertainment, producing monthly features, and is proud to have worked in adult content across five decades: the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, and 20s.
