About Tatyana Chernova

Edited by the community

A tall, slim blonde with a commanding 6'2" frame, Tatyana Chernova stands out even among elite athletes. She is a Russian former heptathlete, born on 29 January 1988 in Krasnodar, Russian Federation. Competing from 2005 to 2013, she started her career around age 18 and spent eight years at the top of her sport.

Chernova's results were marred by doping, however. Originally awarded bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics, she was later stripped of them. A serial offender, all of her athletics results from 17 August 2008 to 5 February 2016 were disqualified. Her natural, real body and blonde hair remain part of her athletic legacy, though her competitive record is now tainted.
