An Iraqi model and blogger, Tara Fares was born in Baghdad on January 10, 1996. She rose to prominence as a social media persona in Iraq, known for posting selfies and fashion photos on Instagram since May 2016, later expanding to Snapchat and Twitter. She was also a contestant in the Miss Baghdad 2014/15 pageant. With her black hair and grey eyes, she stood out in the Middle Eastern modeling scene. Starting her career around age 20, she quickly gained influence. Her life was tragically cut short when she was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Baghdad on September 27, 2018, at just 22 years old.
