Tanya Roberts

Tanya Roberts was an American actress who became one of Hollywood's most recognizable faces in the early 1980s. Born Victoria Leigh Blum in The Bronx, New York, she rose to fame through roles in Charlie's Angels, The Beastmaster, A View to a Kill, Sheena, and That '70s Show. Her portrayal of Stacey Sutton in the James Bond film A View to a Kill broke the mold of Bond Girl names, which were often puns or double entendres. She was widely regarded as a sex symbol during that era.

Roberts' early life was marked by change. Her parents divorced when she was a teenager, and she spent several years in Toronto with her mother, where she began building a photo portfolio. At 15, she quit school to marry, but the union was annulled by her mother-in-law. She later returned to New York City, where she worked as a fashion model. Meeting Barry Roberts while waiting in line for a movie, she proposed to him in a subway station, and they soon married.
