Biography
About Tammy Lynn Leppert
Tammy Lynn Leppert is a former American actress, model, and beauty pageant contestant. She was born on February 5, 1965, in Rockledge, Florida, and began competing in beauty contests at age four. Over her childhood and teens, she entered nearly 300 pageants and won about 280 crowns, a record that highlights her early prominence. She appeared on the cover of CoverGirl Magazine in 1978 while still modeling through her adolescent years.
Her film career, active from 1980 to 1983, included minor roles in Little Darlings (1980), Spring Break (1983), and Scarface (1983). In Scarface, she played the girl who distracts the lookout car during the chainsaw scene. Her legs, hips, and torso were reportedly used for the main poster of Spring Break. She intended to move to Hollywood later in 1983, but her life took a different turn.
After finishing Spring Break, Leppert attended a party alone and returned "a different person," according to a close friend. She left the set of Scarface after four days of filming, and her mother feared she was delusional about being murdered. A 72-hour medical evaluation found no signs of drug or alcohol use. She was last seen in Cocoa Beach, Florida, on July 6, 1983, wearing a blue denim shirt with flowers, a matching skirt, a gray purse, and sandals. A male friend said he argued with her and left her in a parking lot; he is not considered a suspect, but her mother claimed Leppert was afraid of him. She remains missing.
