Talia Shire

Talia Shire is an American actress whose career has spanned over five decades, beginning in 1968. She is widely recognized for her portrayals of Connie Corleone in The Godfather trilogy and Adrian Balboa in the Rocky series. For her performances in The Godfather Part II and Rocky, she received Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress, respectively, as well as a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Drama for Rocky.

Born in Woodhaven, New York, she is of Sicilian Italian descent. She is the only daughter of Italia Pennino and composer Carmine Coppola. Her family is deeply rooted in cinema and the arts; she is the sister of director Francis Ford Coppola, the aunt of actors Nicolas Cage and Sofia Coppola, and the niece of conductor Anton Coppola. Shire stands at 5'3" with a slim build and brown hair and eyes. She remains a respected figure in Hollywood, known for her enduring contributions to film. She started acting at age 22 and has been active for 58 years.
