Swastika Mukherjee

Indian actress Swastika Mukherjee has built a career across Bengali and Hindi films and television. Born in Kolkata on December 13, 1980, she is the daughter of actor Santu Mukhopadhyay. Her screen debut came with the Bengali TV series Devdasi, and she made her big screen debut in Hemanter Pakhi (2001). Her first leading role was in Mastan (2004) opposite Jeet, and she entered Hindi cinema with Mumbai Cutting (2008).

Throughout her career, Mukherjee has received numerous accolades, including four Filmfare Awards East, a record three wins in the Best Actress category, one WBFJA, one Anandalok Award, and one Kalakar Award. At 45 years old, she stands 5'4" with brown hair, green eyes, and a chubby build. She has a large following on Instagram, with 1.4 million followers.

Her personal life has also been public. In 1998, at age 18, she married Promit Sen, son of Rabindra Sangeet singer Sagar Sen. The marriage was unhappy and short-lived. Mukherjee later accused Sen of physical abuse and dowry solicitation, but those charges were dismissed and Sen was acquitted. She then filed an affidavit stating her accusations were false, and a subsequent lawsuit led to her being held liable for ₹7.7 crore in damages. The couple had one daughter, Anwesha, born in 2000.
